In the boy’s bathroom we decided to make an industrial toilet paper holder out of  pipe.  I looked into buying some like this.

I had also seen similar industrial toilet paper holder items at Hobby Lobby but they were kind of cheesly made. Industrial pipe isn’t cheap but I felt like my DIY version would hold up better than buying it made of low-quality materials. When one has boys one has to think about what will stand the test of boys! 🙂

The industrial look is super hot and one of the easiest DIY projects to make.

You will need

2: 3/8 ” X 2″ galvanized pipe nipple
4: 3/8″ X 8″ galvanized pipe
5: 3/8″ galvanized cap
(You could also substitute with 1/2″ as well as a for the only pipe, you could use a 1/2″ x 6″ galvanized pipe.)

Once you get your supplies you will need to twist 1-2, 2-3, 3-4,4-5  and then attach to end of the cabinet.

After you put it all together you can spray paint it a few coats of your desired color.

Pretty simple DIY!

I think we are going to try to build kitchen shelves in the Casita with these.

Have you used galvanized piping before in a DIY?
